The Sarasota Republican Party is fortunate to have a strong cadre of volunteers: people who lead the precincts, provide leadership in the neighborhoods and help elect our candidates. This is truly a team sport, and it could not be done without the volunteers. John W. Mikos was a long time Republican grassroots leader serving for over 25 years as the elected Sarasota County Property Appraiser, as as a member of the Republican Executive Committee. John Mikos was the epitome of a loyal grassroots activist, and it is fitting this prestigious award be named in his memory.
